Hello! This is Fish & Bubbles. Today, we went on a recreational dive to the Kerama Islands with a guest who earned their Open Water (OW) certification last year! This guest usually enjoys ocean activities, mainly dolphin swimming. As expected of someone so comfortable in the water, they were excellent at scuba diving—seeing them move so freely underwater was truly impressive!
Today's Sea Conditions in Kerama
•Points: 1. Nozaki 2. Karuma No. 2 3. Aligarh Cable
•Water temperature: 23.2°C
•Visibility: 20–25 m
• Sea conditions: Slightly choppy; rain → cloudy → sunny
Game 1: Nozaki
For our first dive, we headed to "Nozaki" via the anchor point. As soon as we entered the water, we were greeted by a dazzling display of butterflyfish! Just as I was being soothed by their breathtaking colors—a sight that never fails to impress—a small, adorable hawksbill turtle made an appearance. Thanks to the small group size, we were able to get up close and watch it intently as it focused on its meal.

Part 2: Karuma No. 2
The second dive was "Karuma No. 2," offering a relaxing and soothing experience. Sunlight streamed down onto the white sandy bottom, creating a scene reminiscent of an underwater garden. Drawing on the balance skills honed during the dolphin swim, the divers enjoyed maintaining neutral buoyancy gracefully without stirring up the sand.

No. 3: Aligarh Cable
We finished off with a drift dive at "Aliga Cable"! The sensation of gliding smoothly over the vibrant, lively coral reefs in the shallows, carried by the current, was absolutely exhilarating! Underwater, we encountered sharks swimming gracefully, green sea turtles, and schools of grouper—truly a spectacular finale that brought together all the stars of the Kerama Islands.
